Meanwhile, I've written a couple of drabbles for the Imzy multifandom drabble fest. I'd forgotten how hard drabbles can be! I'm usually only just getting started on my first thought in the story by word 75 or so. :D I did one for Ghost Soup Infidel Blue (fandoms made 110% of in-jokes, yay!) and one Mad Max: Fury Road/Doctor Who crossover.

Suppose I should link my fic for the MCU Rolling Remix (Fury/Hill, whoo) at some point, but right now I'm meant to be making supper.

Apparently pining! Pining seems to be a big thing for me. (I fell hard and fast for Delenn/Lennier in Babylon 5, which might skew the results somewhat, but I see I've also written that for a couple of other pairings.)

Not like inserting extra pining where there wouldn't be (like not dragging out the getting-together portion of a relationship fic) so much as requiting the pining, though. I'm all about hopeless longing that turns out to be not so hopeless after all. :D

(I actually have thoughts--I was talking to kore about this earlier--about how this probably intersects with my experience of being a queer person who pined after a number of straight girls before I managed to fix my sights on someone capable of returning my feelings. But really, I just like happy endings. Angst is great if it makes the resolution sweeter, more than angst for angst's sake, is my outlook, I think.)

Ooh, lots. :D

In no particular order:

1) That sprawling Valen-in-the-past thing, with Minbari!Jeff/Cathy/previous-incarnation!Delenn romance and sex, and lots of interstellar and intra-Minbari politics.

2) One of Paul McGann's older, more morally dubious and/or toppy characters slashed with one of his pretty whimsical young characters. There is wall-to-wall porn.

3) Eight having feelings, at least some of them positive, with canon I know.
3b) That one where Eight and Three are travelling together (Eight picks up Three from his exiled years and takes him to an a pseudo-historical alt London or Paris planet (or possibly actual past Earth) to get some dandyish clothes) and they are mistaken for an older gentleman and his boytoy by the local Oscar Wilde type set. Eight is unfazed by this and even plays it up, while Three is befuddled and belatedly kind of into it. There is clothes porn, Doctor/Doctor mindmelding, and quite possibly actual porn. (With the one everybody thinks is the young innocent--Eight--actually knowing exactly what the fuck he's doing and actually being the older Doctor. Eight bottoms though b/c reasons.)

4) Firestorm h/c! There can never be enough! Lots of comfort because this is me, and no torture porn or anything--but strong feelings about loyalty, daring rescues, odd couple who's growing increasingly fond of each other, Stein and his mix of wonder and arrogance and repressed feels, Jax and his dubiousness about the wisdom of some of these plans and his optimism and his machine-fixing skills. More Jax backstory maybe? Lots of shared-sensation stuff. Sara having girlfriends in the background. Time-travel mission they manage not to entirely fuck up (maybe even kinda win). Etc etc. Yes. ❤
