Summary: Ino and Mireän learn there is more they're allowed to be than just princesses. For a prompt on the meme asking for the older women acting as mentors to the younger ones.
This is such a fantastic post-canon ficlet. I loved The Goblin Emperor a lot, and canon does make a point of mentioning women and especially non-traditional women, but the focus is on Maia since he's the main character. This story has his young nieces connecting with some of the older women--Kiru Athmaza, Maia's sister Vedero and her academic/inventor friends, and so on--and shows them blossoming as they figure out that they can have passions in life and be supported in learning to do cool, fascinating, satisfying things.
Loved it to bits. You should read it. :D
