I won in a contest! OK, so I tied third place with two other people...out of six total entries. But still.

Man, but icon-making is addictive. I've made better ones than that one (all my current icons are made by me) but this the first fandom-related contest I've ever placed in, as far as I recall. So, go me!

1. Take five books off your bookshelf.
2. Book #1 -- first sentence
3. Book #2 -- last sentence on page fifty
4. Book #3 -- second sentence on page one hundred
5. Book #4 -- next to the last sentence on page one hundred fifty
6. Book #5 -- final sentence of the book
7. Make the five sentences into a paragraph:

This is the bright candlelit room where the life-timers are stored--shelf upon shelf of them, squat hourglasses, one for every living person, pouring their fine sand from the future into the past.
