go space station fandoms, go!

Babylon 5 has been accepted for [livejournal.com profile] yuletide this year!

\o/ \o/ \o/

When I tried to nominate it as "Babylon 5 & Related Fandoms," it told me that someone had nominated Delenn, Susan Ivanova, and John Sheridan under "Babylon 5." So I changed my fandom nom to that, and my characters to Jeffrey Sinclair, Lennier, Talia Winters, and Lyta Alexander. So far, Talia has been approved. (I assume she went through on the same ticket as the person who submitted Susan.) All approved! :D

Star Trek: DS9 is apparently also small enough that it has been accepted too! Joy. Someone else got Garak, Julian, Jadzia Dax, and Kira Nerys approved, so I submitted Ben Sisko, Jake Sisko, Kasidy Yates and Ezri Dax. Captain Sisko's They have all been approved. \o/

Also I put in (of course) for CJ Cherryh's Foreigner series. (Bren Cameron, Jago, Banichi, Algini...there really ought to be five spaces for this fandom, to fit in Bren's entire aishid! Poor Tano. <3) Other people have nominated Cyteen and the Company Wars.

Spreadsheet for accepted Yuletide fandoms here, for the curious.

I've done some research on my own, along with filling in my own nominations.
Yes, you've described it pretty well. :D

I've decided to sign in as well. What I've been told is that the sign on phase will be pretty interesting, too.
The numbers of requests and offers for any given fandom most likely will be noted down publicly (though without
any mentioning of particular characters).

So, just as with nominations you can take a peek during sign in. (That's how it worked the last years I've been told.)
That also means you can change both your requests and offers according to demand, or not and just wait for the outcome.

I'm pretty much excited by now, though I have a real problem with coming p with a request. Picking fandoms to offer is
far more easy somehow.
