A note, because I'll probably want to have written it down somewhere for later:
Finished my first playthrough of Mass Effect 2 last week! My very first videogame since half-assed attempts at Commander Keen a dozen years ago. I really, really loved it.
Am in two minds about playing the other games in the series, so for now I've started a second playthrough with a slightly different character. It's interesting to see how much I've forgotten about earlier events in the game since last time (three months ago) and it really is a whole different experience going into missions now that I know how to, you know, walk and click on things without getting killed or intensely frustrated. :P
Anyway. I'm so happy I got to know/be fem!Shep. And while I obviously was going to love being the hero in a 90's-style space opera, and the pretty blue space ladies were also a draw, I was surprisingly into throwing fireballs. So much more fun than shooting guns (though the Cain makes an impressive asplosion too).
