I nominated Rowan and Bel and William and Zenna, because I couldn't see if anyone else had nominated anyone from Steerswoman, and I figured they probably had but it would've been a crying shame if that guess was wrong, but I'm delighted to see those others on the list too. Oh excellent!

I actually have forgotten who Ona and Reeder are (other steerswomen? oh! or, that couple in Donner from The Language of Power? the ones that turned out to be lesbians? possibly them) but I like how the AO3 naming conventions makes it look like literally every character on that list is a steerswoman. LOL.

I'm pretty sure I won't be writing for Yuletide (I do badly with fests) but I am so excite for more fic for this fandom. <3

Ona and her husband whose name starts with N are the other adorable couple in Donner, the ones who are not lesbians but do get more screen time! Ona is the one with all the drawings of the town, who has memories of Slado when he was a dashing young man. Reeder is their... quasi-son? He's not actually their son, IIRC, but he's very close to them and is the right age to be. He's the one who has a quiet but extremely firm grudge against Rowan because of the death in Book 1 of a kid he was watching over (which was only a tiny bit her fault, at most, but which he blames her for). Either way, they're from The Language of Power, yes!

I do much better with fests than with, uh, getting around to writing fic without a prompt and a looming deadline, so Yuletide is one of my favorite writing times! And, of course, is a giant fest of presents for me and everybody else as readers. Especially because in my heart I'm a teeny fandoms person always.

(Why do I not have a Steerswoman icon? I should get a Steerswoman icon.)

And I agree, fests are good motivation for writing fic.

Yeah, somebody (or more than one somebody?) must have nommed Corvus, Ona, Reeder, and Steffie, or some combination thereof. I really like the FemslashEx way of doing things where you can see who's nominated what right away, so you don't waste your noms. But apparently this is not a thing for Yuletide. (And I have no idea whether or not that's reasonable, either, since I don't really follow Yulewank.)

Deadlines tend to stress me out and I'm often bad at writing to prompts--however, treats! That's what I just wrote and I honestly might pick up something(s) for Yuletide. Then again, SO MANY fandoms to pick from there that it may be overwhelming. But I'm hoping to use the general mad writing rush in November as inspiration, in any case.

Need Steerswoman icons.

Oh right, them! I do know who you're talking about now. Ona with the sketches and Reeder with the kid and the electric magic box from the first book. (SO SAD.)

I also need Steerswoman icons! I wonder if any exist? I might make some text ones, if I knew what to put on them. HMM.

I wonder this also! And text or text + stock images would be excellent icons. Hmmmmm.

(No, self, you are not allowed to drop all the stuff you actually have to do in order to go looking through the whole series for good iconable quotes. Even if it would be really excellent procrastination fodder.)
