I am SO enjoying The Steerswoman! Plot point involving that one dude about 3/4 of the way through the story and Bel's less savoury skills has made me go D: D: a lot, mostly because I just really wish my heroes wouldn't do that. However, if I can set that aside, I adore the entire rest of the book. A society of majority-female travelling scientists! (I'd call them investigative wizards like Gandalf except, well. XD) Female Viking! Good friends met on the road! Cleverness, excitement, curiosity, finding things out! I'm so glad you pointed me at this book. (And I have my own theories on things like e.g. geocentric satellite orbits, insulated copper wire, etc etc, but do not spoil me for the last *checks* 17% of the book just yet! :D)
